When the pandemic stopped the world, the Dusty Donuts crew created ways (beyond new record
releases) to enliven conversations with the worldwide DJ family. One of these concepts is the
NEEDLE DROPS livestream show on Twitch, where world-renowned DJs were challenged to
show off their creativity through topic-based DJ-sets.

Acclaimed as one of the deepest shows on the web, it featured heavyweight guests like: DJ Koco,
Shortkut, Mr. Thing, Skratch Bastid, Rhettmatic, The Gaff or Cosmo Baker, among a host of other
talents. From these engaging episodes, rose the idea for a new sub-label to release original music
by and for original people, curated and operated by Marc Hype, DJ Robert Smith & Stinoe.
